Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar is the 15th IIM set up by the Ministry of Education with support of the Government of Punjab. After the registration of IIM Amritsar Society on July 27, 2015, the first batch for the class of 2015-17 was enrolled in August 2015. Later, on October 14, 2015, the IIM Amritsar Board of Governance & Society was constituted. In June 2016, the finance minister Shri Arun Jaitley laid down the foundation stone for IIM Amritsar Campus. Currently, IIM Amritsar is the 15th oldest IIM and one of the premier management institutes in the country.
. To Meet the growing requirement of Enterprise Sector, our Institute has launched two new Programmes viz MBA-Business Analytics and MBA-Human Resource.
. NIRF (National institutional ranking framework) 2021 ranks IIM Amritsar 67th, outlook-ICARE MBA 2021 ranks 27th, and Business Standard Institutional Rankings ranks 33rd.
. IIM Amritsar is the sixth IIM to join the CFA Affiliation Program, and the 16th Indian Institute to do so. IIM Amritsar has also inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ICSI (Indian Institute of Company Secretaries) for collaborative academic research, workshops, and development.

Avlokan is one of our earnest endeavours to increase our interaction with the industry stalwarts for continuous learning and an increased knowledge base. We have been fortunate to host industry veterans from various organizations, namely KPMG, Hero Electric, Cummins, Landmark Group, Mero, HP, Yes Bank, PwC, Tata Cliq, Jio, Renault, Magic, etc. amongst others over the last year. We have hosted more than 25 Industry Stalwarts and Leaders who shared their experiences and guided the students of IIM Amritsar on what the future holds post-COVID-19 during these sessions. Each edition of the webinar series has a theme that is relevant to the ever-evolving corporate world. MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Greetings
The IIM Amritsar community express its sincere gratitude to all the recruiters for supporting us during the pandemic and helping the institute achieve 100% summer and final placement. For the upcoming placement season, it is my pleasure to introduce the sixth and seventh batches of MBA students of IIM-Amritsar.
In the current academic year, in addition to the MBA program focusing on the broad-based curriculum, the institute has also introduced three new programs: MBA (Business Analytics), MBA (Human Resource Management) and E-MBA to meet the industry demand. As an evidence of our students’ calibre, the number of first-time recruiters and returning companies has been on the rise. During the 2020-21 placement season, the companies visiting the campus for final placement increased to 88 compared to the previous recruitment season, a growth rate of 100%.
